Our Mental Health Trip

T and I have barely spent time together this summer 

due to opposite work schedules

 so for his 25th birthday we went to San Clemente, CA

 You all requested pictures so here they are :)

Ocean Festival was there while we were there

Woody's lined the pier

Ariel and King Triton were kind enough to grace us with their royal presence

that looks like an Indiana Jones Hat

but it's JCREW so I figured it was cool and trendy

We headed up to Balboa Island

Balboa bars had to happen

Here's the thing

When you are on vacay with just 2 people

it's REALLY hard to get pics of you both

the arm will be in most pics

I love balboa

I wish we could have paddle boarded there

Headed up to LA

this happened

I will never go to LA again

I will stick to Orange County

For T's birthday he wanted to go to a museum

naturally

It is AWESOME

True Story:

As this boy saw a Monet hanging there

He dropped my hand and RAN to it

I know my place

Beautiful views of the dreadful city

and the smog too

The Arm

Awesome gardens

We were really close to the teample

Trent had never been

That temple is huge

T wanted a breakfast burrito

we had to try out the place at the end of the pier

he ended up making him the wrong thing

T ate it anywaysio 

but then the cook brought him out another burrito with the right fillings

T was in heaven

One stop shop

good food 

fishing poles

memorabilia

T surfed

ask him how it went

found out later where he was surfing is home to 2 great whites

yeah... awesome

FHE at the beach

made some friends

parents of T's mission companion

they fed us twice and took us to their ward's FHE

and yes, my leg is popped there

weird I get it

We had a fantastic time

we need to do a trip every year

Europe up next!

tonight

just me and T

4th of July- without fireworks

Took a picture in front of a barn with diving swallows

who make their nests out of SPIT

but it was mom's dream

and the reason mads looks so cute is because she spent forevs picking out her outfit

but it paid off

 We had plenty of quality time with the baby

who will probably punch me in the face the second she comes out

I tend to poke and push to find her a little too much

Boys went on a mountain biking ride

which was a "FOUTZ" bike ride

Dad "it's not that far"

Isaac comes home beat up "it was 11 miles, up hill"

Don't even get me started on "FOUTZ" miles

 

Went on the Alpine Slide and Coaster

My pick? Coaster

You don't get stuck behind slow people

But no fireworks 

They were cancelled due to the fires 

Best part was after this trip and seeing the pics I realized I am quite large

Diet Started

9 pounds down in a week!

Wardrode Malfunction

Ok... so not really.

But everytime I look into my closet I think, "Why do I buy such ugly clothes?"

ok... so maybe they are not UGLY but they are ALL.OVER.THE.PLACE

Lessons Learned

1. When you don't have AC in your house and it's summer- it's UNBEARABLE.

2. When you take your house & car keys off the  normal ring and don't put them back on the normal ring-when you leave the house the next day with that normal ring, you will be locked out.

3. Being locked out of house and car in the summer- it's hot

4. Brothers with cars are life savers

5. When a metal lever is stuck, don't use your whole force to move it. You will get a blood blister

6. When GAP has an extra 40% off sale- you HAVE you buy something

7. Don't EVER EVER EVER tell your boss your like the Bachelorette-

 he will judge you forever and accuse you of not being virtous,

 lovely of good report or praiseworthy... my bad

8. Life is better when mom's around

9. The Overture of 1812 is much more "bomb" with cannons- ha get it?
