My cousin married the love of her life on April 28, 2012 in the Oakland temple. 

She looked flawless and it was so fun to see everyone and see her dream wedding come true.

Punta Cana

I take off tonight at 1am to ATL and then at 9am off to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

by myself......

I have 8 meetings in 5 days

and one massage on a "floating spa"

one limo ride

a rain shower (heck yes, it gets it's on line and shoutout)

one helicopter ride (if the weather clears up)

one good books

lots of good food

and five days without T (which means lots of skyping)

Excited level: 7 out of 10

Nervous level: 8 out of 10

 

Dang Snow

I have been going through a "funk" and I think the snow has put the cherry on top of it.

I might just be tired and exhausted from last week

I might be itching for change 

Change of weather, location (non work related), body shape, wardrobe who knows

I had a conversation with an acquaintance yesterday, his quote exactly

"The world would be a better place if people would stop being so type A and more laid back"

My heart sank

I am a closet type A (maybe not so closet)

An introvert (maybe just unconfident) type A

And I wish I could change it with all of my heart

I can't, it is who I am

And I am still in the process of trying to embrace it

I kinda wanted to say to this guy

"Things get done around here because of Type A's

so yeah... you can go now"  (maybe through in a 'buddy' and a finger to the chest)

But I didn't, I just shook my head

Anyways- so go away snow and give me spring

I need it right now!

As many of you have probably noticed...
yes, I have gained weight since being home from my mission and being married.
This has part to do with my thyroid and mostly to do with
STRESS EATING
So, I decided to stop eating sugar on March 26th (hello, had to have cake on the 25th)
I was doing so well, parts of my body were kinda shrinking
until these things were dropped off...

Dang it

There is always tomorrow right (right after a trip to the gym tonight)

The ironic thing is here is a list of treats dropped off to me in the last week
cupcakes, gelato, candy bars, girl scout cookies, donuts and a milk shake.
What do I choose to eat?

I'm back!

I survived! Although I had a long week and barely feel like myself, I am glad I get a 2 week break before taking off to the Dominican Republic. Here are some pics from this weekend (and there were 0 taken during my birthday oops)
