A little Christmas Love

T surprised me Christmas morning with (among other things)
tickets to Lady Antebellum on February 14th.

I think I said "YAY" about 50 million times.
What? I am excited!

A Very Merry Olsen Christmas

From what I hear it is not Christmas around the Olsen house
without Papa Olsen's fudge.
Boy, is it good.

Lucky

I was oober sad T was leaving me for 5 days to go do boy stuff in Tahoe.
He made it a little easier by leaving these notes all over the house
and leaving his slippers for me right when I walked in.
I felt like part of me was gone this weekend
but I am glad it is back now.
I kinda like having him around :)
Even if he looks like a grizzly.

Mormon Tabernacle Chior

Thanks to Chelsea I got to go with these ladies
to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
annual Christmas Concert.

Nathan Gunn and Jane Seymor were the guests
AND we were sitting 8 rows behind the prophet.
That choir really is amazing and put me
in the Christmas Spirit.

We then went to Blue Plate for some omelets and hot chocolate... yum!
Elle and Ada got hot chocolate and they all have different mugs
love it!
It is up on 21st and 21st in SLC... I highly recommend it.

First Married Christmas

We bought our little tree at Target this year and had fun setting it up

Even though I don't look like it
Used to think I was photogenic...
guess that ended after the wedding
haven't taken a good one since

I am sure T wanted a real tree
I grew up in Vegas...
I didn't understand what that meant.
We had just driven home from vegas
tired and full of road trip food
(wheathins and clementines)

Thanksgiving

This year we were in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving.

Here are the few pictures I took on my phone,
the ones from my camera will come shortly.

My aunt Janice and cousin Keegan were in town,

so we took them along on our traditional visit to the Bellagio.

I love the conservatory, especially during the holidays.
I love how they mix types of flowers and make them look good together.

The Trent and I went to the Green Valley Ranch for his first vegas buffet
To get half off we signed up for their
Players Card... my first one.
We got three dollars worth of free slot play.
We had never gambled and figured it was free money.

We promptly went to Anthropologie across the way
and bought me a dress
(they had ab extra 50 % off all sale- that deserves a post all to itself!)

Merry Christmas Madeline

Ever since my brother in law, Brandon, entered the family there has been some sort of gag gift given Christmas Day.

Trent and I decided to take on the challenge this year...

OK, he didn't.

Mountain West Burrito, I love you.
I give it a 10 out of 10.
Better then cafe rio.
They use all natural meats, can most restaurants say that!?
All organic ingredients, except the coke zero I consumed.
If you have not tried this place you are crazy!

All I want for Christmas...

Christmas is a time to spend with your family, eat yummy food
and talk to your missionary brother... I understand that.
It is also a time for a young married girl to think outside of the box...

At my 3pm bathroom break I look in the mirror and
it's not a pretty site.
I need something natural that can stay on all day.

Friday can not come fast enough

I am eternally grateful for my husband, he is the best

Christmas shopping has begun and I am excited

My job and calling seem to magnify my weaknesses
which makes it harder for me to magnify my strengths to magnify my job and calling.

People have no problem calling me out on those weaknesses

Anyways I have no "fantastic" ending to this but I have not blogged in a while,
so there are my ramblings for this week:)

The highlight of your week is "winterizing" your house
Hey old house and wood floors are brutal.

But end up being nothing

Put Graduate Application before paying for your forever cracked windshield.

Rely on wife's work (me) to provide exciting yearly vacation

TOY STORY

Yeah I owned Trent on our third time around.

It was a good break.

I have been struggling lately with creating

BALANCE in my life.

Work has consumed me along with trying to work out and with my new calling

I needed time to just chill and spend time with the

ones who are the most important to me.

I will let you know how that balance thing works out this week.

Chopped it!

I was so sick of my hair...
so Tuesday it came all off.
All 9 inches of it,
which sounds like a lot.
But now I feel sassy
which might be bad thing
since we all know the sass is too frequent

Lost and Found and Germs

Saturday we went to the "Lost and Found" sale at BYU.
I thought it would be a chill Saturday morning activity with T.
Holy MAD HOUSE!
See, I wish with all of my heart I could be a
DI, Yard Sale, Goodwill, Savers girl...I just can't.
I feel dirty and gross and this was no exception.

Yes, there are waterbottles.
Think about it...
who knows how long they have been sitting there
with someone's mouth germs there.

Can you spot the trash bag... women stood in line since 5am
with their trashbags.
They got so heavy people were dragging them around.

It was a packed house.

The mirrors were quite popular.
Once again, someone has sweat in that... or other things.
According to TONS of people I have talked to about this...

I am crazy and
I need to move past this.

10 months later

This is for the style, not the color.
I could never pull of blonde.
All I know is I am going shorter and darker

I am getting my hair done... finally!
